Description

This creamy and cheesy Artichoke & Spinach Dip is a classic party appetizer that combines tender artichoke hearts, flavorful spinach, and a blend of cheeses. Baked until hot and bubbly with a golden top, it’s perfect for serving with chips, baguette slices, or fresh vegetables.

Ingredients

Scale

Dip Ingredients

  • 1 can (14 oz) artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
  • 1 package (10 oz) frozen spinach, thawed and well-drained
  • 1 block (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) to prepare for baking the dip.
  2. Mix the Creamy Base: In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise. Stir until the mixture is smooth and well blended, creating a creamy base for the dip.
  3. Add Main Ingredients: Fold in the chopped artichoke hearts, thoroughly drained spinach, shredded mozzarella, grated Parmesan, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and optional crushed red pepper flakes. Mix everything together until fully combined and evenly distributed.
  4. Prepare Baking Dish: Grease an 8×8-inch baking dish or similar-sized oven-safe dish to prevent sticking. Spread the dip mixture evenly across the bottom of the dish.
  5. Bake the Dip: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the dip is hot, bubbly, and the top turns lightly golden brown.
  6. Cool and Serve: Remove the baked dip from the oven and allow it to cool slightly before serving. This will help the dip set and make it easier to scoop.

Notes

  • Serve with tortilla chips, toasted baguette slices, crackers, or fresh vegetable sticks for a variety of dipping options.
  • For extra cheesy goodness, sprinkle additional mozzarella or Parmesan cheese on top before baking.
  • You can prepare the dip ahead of time and keep it refrigerated until ready to bake, making it convenient for parties.
