  • 1 block (14 oz) extra-firm tofu, pressed and cubed
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon neutral oil (like avocado or canola)

Blackberry Glaze:

  • 1/2 cup fresh blackberries
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce or tamari
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • pinch of salt


Instructions

  1. Press and Coat Tofu: Press tofu and cut into cubes. Toss in cornstarch.
  2. Pan-Fry Tofu: Pan-fry tofu in oil until golden and crispy.
  3. Make Blackberry Glaze: Simmer blackberries, maple syrup, soy sauce, vinegar, spices, and seasonings.
  4. Combine and Serve: Pour the glaze over tofu and cook until warm. Serve over rice or noodles.
