For the corn dogs:
- 6 all-beef hot dogs
- ¾ cup almond flour
- ¼ cup coconut flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- 2 large eggs
- ¼ cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1 tablespoon avocado oil
- 1 tablespoon golden flaxseed meal (optional, for texture)
- 6 wooden skewers or sticks
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer: Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare the hot dogs: Pat the hot dogs dry and insert skewers into each one.
- Make the batter: In a medium bowl, mix almond flour, coconut flour, baking powder, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and flaxseed meal (if using). In another bowl, whisk eggs, almond milk, and avocado oil. Combine wet and dry ingredients to form a dough.
- Wrap the hot dogs: Divide dough into 6 portions and wrap around each hot dog.
- Air fry: Grease the air fryer basket, place corn dogs inside, and air fry for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Serve: Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, spray the dough with oil before air frying.
- You can add 1 tablespoon grated parmesan for extra flavor.
- Serve with sugar-free ketchup or mustard.
