Description

Indulge in the rich, decadent flavors of these Caramel Pecan Cream Bars. A buttery crust topped with a creamy cheesecake layer and swirled with caramel, finished with a sprinkle of pecans – a perfect dessert for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter (cubed)
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

For the Cheesecake Layer:

  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Additional:

  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce (plus more for drizzling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven and prepare the pan: Preheat the oven to 350°F and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Make the crust: In a medium bowl, combine flour and brown sugar. Cut in the cold butter until crumbly. Stir in chopped pecans. Press mixture into the pan to form a crust. Bake for 15 minutes.
  3. Prepare the cheesecake layer: Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add egg and vanilla, mix until combined. Spread over the crust.
  4. Add the caramel: Drizzle 1/2 cup of caramel sauce over the top and swirl with a knife. Bake for 25–30 minutes until set.
  5. Cool and chill: Let cool, then chill for at least 1 hour before slicing. Drizzle with more caramel before serving if desired.

Notes

  • Use a thick caramel sauce for best results.
  • Bars can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
  • To enhance flavor, consider toasting the pecans before adding them to the recipe.
