  • 1 (10 oz) bag mini marshmallows
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal

  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract

For the Chocolate Topping:

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil or shortening


Instructions

  1. Prepare the Rice Krispies Treats: Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add marshmallows, stir until melted. Remove from heat, mix in almond extract. Fold in Rice Krispies and cherries. Press into prepared dish.
  2. Add the Chocolate Topping: Melt chocolate chips and coconut oil in the microwave, then pour over treats. Spread evenly. Let set before slicing.

Notes
