- 1 jalapeño, finely chopped (seeds removed for less heat)
- 1 green onion, thinly sliced
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Assembly:
- 24 wonton wrappers
- vegetable oil for frying
- water for sealing edges
Instructions
- Prepare the Filling: In a medium bowl, mix together the corn, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, jalapeño, green onion, garlic powder, and salt until well combined.
- Assemble the Wontons: Place a wonton wrapper on a clean surface and add about 1 teaspoon of the filling to the center. Moisten the edges with water, then fold into a triangle or form a pouch, sealing tightly.
- Fry the Wontons: Heat vegetable oil in a skillet to 350°F. Fry wontons in batches for 2 to 3 minutes until golden and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
- Serve: Enjoy hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- For a healthier option, bake the wontons instead of frying.
- Try an air fryer for a crispy finish with less oil.
