- 1 box chocolate cake mix (plus ingredients listed on the box)
Frosting and Decorations:
- 1 tub chocolate frosting
- 24 mini pretzels
- 12 red candy-coated chocolates (like M&M’s)
- 24 candy eyes
- 12 vanilla wafers or chocolate cookies (for snouts)
- Optional: white cupcake liners
Instructions
- Prepare Cupcakes: Prepare and bake the chocolate cupcakes according to the package instructions. Let them cool completely on a wire rack.
- Decorate Cupcakes: Frost each cupcake generously with chocolate frosting. Press one vanilla wafer or cookie near the bottom center of each cupcake to form the reindeer’s snout. Add a red candy to the center of the wafer for the nose. Place two candy eyes above the snout. Gently press two mini pretzels into the top of each cupcake to create antlers.
- Serve: Serve immediately or store in an airtight container until ready to serve.
Notes
- To make them even more festive, sprinkle a little edible glitter or crushed peppermint around the edges of the frosting.
- You can use mini chocolate chips or black icing for noses if making a mix of “Rudolph” and classic reindeer.
