Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Prepare the Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, baking soda, and salt.
- Mix the Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, cream the softened butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the molasses, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Combine the Ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until a soft dough forms.
- Bake the Bars: Spread the dough evenly into the prepared baking pan. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the edges are golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool and Serve: Allow to cool completely in the pan before cutting into bars.
Notes
