Description

These festive Grinch Pretzels are a delightful holiday treat featuring crunchy square pretzels topped with melted milk chocolate, drizzled with green icing, and adorned with red heart sprinkles for a colorful and delicious snack perfect for holiday parties or gifting.

Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients

  • 1 bag of square pretzels
  • 1 small bag of Ghirardelli milk chocolate melting chocolates
  • 1 container of Wilton confetti heart sprinkles (reds picked out)
  • 1 tube of green cookie icing
  • 1 cookie sheet fitted with parchment paper

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for melting the chocolate on the pretzels.
  2. Arrange Pretzels: Place the square, non-broken pretzels onto the cookie sheet in neat rows, ensuring they are spaced evenly.
  3. Add Chocolate: Place one milk chocolate melting chocolate piece onto the center of each pretzel.
  4. Melt Chocolate: Put the cookie sheet into the preheated oven for about 2-3 minutes, just until the chocolate begins to soften but not fully melt.
  5. Cool Chocolate: Remove the cookie sheet from the oven and transfer the pretzels onto a counter or cooling rack. Let them cool for 5 minutes so the chocolate starts to harden.
  6. Decorate: Once the chocolate has set enough to hold shape, drizzle green cookie icing over the top of the melted chocolate and place a red heart sprinkle in the center.
  7. Set Treats: Allow the decorated pretzels to set for at least 30 minutes at room temperature to fully harden and firm up before enjoying.

Notes

  • Use only non-broken pretzels to keep the shape uniform and appealing.
  • Keep a close eye on the chocolate in the oven to avoid overheating and fully melting it.
  • For faster setting, you can place the pretzels in the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes after decorating.
  • These treats make great gifts or festive party snacks, and can be stored in an airtight container for several days.
