Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Prepare dry ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and dry instant pudding mix.
- Cream butter and sugars: In a large bowl, cream the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs and vanilla: Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
- Combine wet and dry: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Stir in mix-ins: Fold in the chocolate chips and M&M’s.
- Form dough balls: Scoop the dough into 1 1/2-tablespoon-sized balls and place on prepared baking sheets, spacing about 2 inches apart.
- Top with M&M’s: Press a few extra M&M’s on top of each dough ball for a bakery-style look.
- Bake: Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden and centers are just set.
- Cool: Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
