Ingredients
Scale
Dough:
- 1 can (8 ounces) refrigerated crescent roll dough or puff pastry
Filling:
- 1/2 cup peach pie filling (store-bought or homemade)
Seasoning:
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Finishing Touches:
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
- powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
- nonstick spray or butter for greasing muffin tin
Instructions
- Prep the Dough: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a standard muffin tin. Unroll the crescent roll dough into a large rectangle and pinch the seams together to form a solid sheet.
- Add Filling: Spread the peach pie filling evenly over the dough, making sure not to overfill. In a small bowl, mix together the sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle over the peach filling.
- Roll and Shape: Starting from the long edge, tightly roll the dough into a log. Cut the log in half lengthwise to expose the layers, then roll each strip into a spiral, cinnamon-roll style.
- Bake: Place each spiral into a muffin cup, cut side up. Brush the tops with melted butter. Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
- Finish: Let cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar if desired.
Notes
- For a shortcut, use peach preserves instead of pie filling.
- You can also add a touch of almond extract to the filling for a nutty twist.
- Serve warm for best flavor and texture.
