Ingredients
Scale
Meat Mixture
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ cup pizza sauce
Tacos
- 8 small flour tortillas
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 24 slices pepperoni
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)
- Olive oil for brushing
Instructions
- Cook the beef: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned and cooked through, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks. Drain any excess grease.
- Season and simmer: Add the Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper to the beef, stirring to combine. Pour in the pizza sauce and simmer for 2-3 minutes until the mixture is heated through and slightly thickened.
- Prepare tortillas: Preheat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat. Lightly brush one side of each tortilla with olive oil. Place the tortillas oiled-side-down on a clean surface.
- Assemble tacos: On one half of each tortilla, layer a few spoonfuls of the beef mixture, a sprinkle of mozzarella cheese, 3 slices of pepperoni, and a pinch of Parmesan. Fold the other half of the tortilla over to form a taco shape.
- Cook tacos: Carefully transfer the tacos to the skillet, cooking 2-3 at a time. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, pressing gently with a spatula, until golden brown and crispy. Repeat with the remaining tacos.
- Serve: Garnish with chopped parsley if desired and serve warm.
Notes
- You can substitute ground turkey or plant-based crumbles for the ground beef for a different protein option.
- For extra crispiness, bake the assembled tacos at 400°F (200°C) for 5-7 minutes after pan-frying.
- Serve with warm marinara or ranch dressing for dipping to complement the pizza flavors.
