Description

  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • ½ cup orange juice
  • ¼ cup rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar
  • ⅓ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • ½ teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 clove garlic, minced

Cornstarch Slurry:

  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons cold water

Optional:

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the pineapple juice, orange juice, vinegar, brown sugar, soy sauce, ketchup, ginger, and garlic. Stir well and bring to a simmer.
  2. Create Slurry: In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with cold water until smooth.
  3. Thicken Sauce: Slowly pour the cornstarch slurry into the simmering sauce, whisking constantly. Cook for 2-3 minutes until thickened.
