Description

Cookie Dough

  • 1 1/2 cups unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Caramel Topping

  • 15 ounce bag Kraft caramel candies
  • 2 tablespoons evaporated milk

Chocolate Topping

  • 2 cups Ghirardelli melting chocolate wafers


Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit to prepare for baking the cookie base.
  2. Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large bowl, add the softened butter and powdered sugar. Use an electric mixer to cream these ingredients together until light and fluffy.
  3. Mix Dough: Add vanilla extract, flour, and salt to the creamed butter mixture. Mix until a well combined dough forms.
  4. Prepare Work Surface: Sprinkle flour on a clean cutting board or countertop to prevent sticking during rolling.
  5. Roll and Cut Dough: Roll the dough out to about 1/2 inch thickness. Use a small round cookie cutter to cut out individual cookies.
  6. Bake Cookies: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the cut cookies on it. Bake in the preheated oven for 14-16 minutes until lightly golden around the edges. Remove from oven and allow cookies to cool completely.
  7. Melt Caramel: In a medium saucepan, combine Kraft caramel candies and evaporated milk. Stir continuously over low heat until caramel melts and becomes smooth.

  9. Melt Chocolate: Place Ghirardelli chocolate wafers in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat for 30 seconds, stirring and repeating in short intervals as necessary until fully melted and smooth.
